In a chaotic sideline scene during Saturday’s game between Pittsburgh and Louisville, two Panthers players were caught in a physical altercation with a Louisville ball boy after an interception return.
The scuffle broke out after Pitt safety Rasheem Biles returned a pick-six. When Biles reached the sideline, a ball boy attempted to retrieve the game ball — and, according to multiple reports, punched it out of Biles’s hands. His teammates, including defensive lineman Isaiah Neal, immediately intervened, pushing the ball boy aside and retrieving the ball.
Pitt stormed to a 16-0 first-quarter lead, fueled by Eli Holstein’s 39-yard touchdown strike and Rasheem Biles’ 75-yard pick-six. But despite the early fireworks, Louisville roared back to steal a 34-27 victory.
No injuries have been reported, and the incident was described by many observers as “bizarre” amid the normal flow of the game.
Neither Pitt nor Louisville has offered an official statement confirming whether disciplinary measures will follow.
